Residents of Fort Collins, Colorado have the opportunity to go green with their lawn mowers, and save money at the same time, by reducing ozone pollution with the help of the 2011 Fort Collins Lawn Mower Rebate Program. The program ends at the end of May, or when funds are depleted, whichever happens first.
In order to receive the rebate, applicants must have all the rebate forms turned in by June 3. They will then be eligible for a $25 lawn-mower rebate when they purchase an electric or reel mower from participating retailers. Many of these retailers are also adding in-store incentives. For example, at Bath Power Equipment they will also recycle your old mower for you. Clay's Ace Hardware is adding a $10 store coupon to the $25 rebate offer.

According to a recent survey, 64% of homeowners say they are going to invest in renovations this year, and a third of them say they will use green home improvement guides, such as the guides from MyHammer, to make more eco-friendly choices. Many are choosing to spend on energy saving measures because of the long-term, cost-saving benefits, but too many may be throwing their money away by selecting the most complex and expensive renovation choices, like windows and renewables.
Yet the amount that people say they are planning to spend on home improvements is significantly less than in 2011, dropping from an average of $6200 to $3400. This likely has much to do with the sustained downturn in the US real estate /a> market, yet the fact is that you will not get a lot of replacement windows or solar panels for $3400. This means that, for now, most environmentally conscious homes will probably opt for smaller scale green home improvements.

You may have recently cut your lawn with your lawn mower, and you are proud of your accomplishment. While your freshly cut grass may exemplify a neat home exterior, you may want to add even more flair to your lawn by adding some garden furniture.
Many households focus very much on the interior decorations of their home. Nonetheless, the exterior look can be just as important, if not more. In particular, your backyard lawn is often the place where you may host dinners, barbecues and parties for your guests. Having beautiful garden furniture can complement your lawn. There are various styles and materials used for garden furniture, and the furniture pieces typically include chairs and tables.
Wooden garden furniture is a favorite for most homes because the wooden aesthetic goes well with the natural surroundings of your outdoor grass, plants and trees. Just like interior furniture, it's also important to clean and maintain garden furniture using tools like protectants and coverings.
